We are a community of believers whose purpose is to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, share the Word of God and to make disciples of men.

Pastor Connell Leonard, Sr. is a native of Tallahassee, Florida. He attended the public schools of Leon County and is a graduate of Rickards High school. He attended Smith Chapel Bible College where he received an Associate Degree in Theological Studies. 

Pastor Leonard had a calling on his life at an early age. In December of 1989, he answered God’s call to the Gospel Ministry while under the leadership of Elder C. H. Smith. He was ordained to the ministry in 1998 and served as Youth Minister and Associate Pastor of Greater Mount Zion P.B. Church. In 2000, he was elected as pastor of Elizabeth Popular Spring, where he has served for the past twenty-two years. 

The ministry has allowed Pastor Leonard to serve in various capacities within the 

Old West Florida P. B. Association such as: Bible Expositor, Church School President, and Chairman of the Presby, just to name a few. In 2021 He was one of many honorees recognized for their service in the OWP Baptist Association.  In the Tallahassee community, Pastor Leonard is actively involved in the Capital Area Justice Ministry. He works with the local community churches and city leaders to address and find solutions for curtailing youth gun violence as well as the need for affordable housing.  His passion for teaching and preaching the Word of God is evident in his day to day living.  Sharing the word of God with others to know, love and become followers of Jesus Christ is his lifelong mission. Pastor Leonard is married to Essie McCary Leonard. They have five children, two sons and three daughters: Connell Jr., Justin, Nakeshia, Ja’nell and Alisha and seven grandchildren. He loves reading the Bible, spending time with family and repairing cars. 

 The youngest son of Lloyd and Patricia Griffin was born in, Florida. At the tender age of six, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He became involved in the Gospel Ministry at a very early age. At the age of sixteen, he was licensed under the leadership of Elder Connell Leonard, Sr., Minister Griffin received his early education in the Leon County public school system. He is a graduate of Tallahassee Community College and Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. He is currently enrolled at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree. 

Minister Griffin love for God shows in all he does, whether reading, playing the piano or spending time with family or friends. His goal is to preach Jesus to all who have an ear to hear.
